FAQ’s
What type of events do you hold?
Small weddings, engagements, birthdays, retirements, wakes, business events, baby showers, gender reveal, private dinners, anniversaries, product launches, we are open to discuss any event. Each event is considered on a case by case basis.
Can we hire the whole of the Punchbowl?
This would depend on the type of event and which date you required.
How many people does the room hold?
Sit down meal – 40. Buffet 70 (depending on time of year)
Can we come and see the room?
Yes, this can be arranged through our events co-ordinator by appointment.
What’s included with the room?
The room is yours exclusively for the agreed time period, the private garden is also available in the warmer months.
Do you allow children’s entertainment?
Yes, we allow entertainers and garden games. We don’t allow inflatables such as bouncy castles etc.
What food do you do?
Please see menus above – Bespoke menus can also be created to meet your needs.
Do you permit external caterers for events?
Unfortunately not, all goods consumed on the premises will be provided by the Punchbowl kitchen team.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Unfortunately not, all drinks consumed on the premises will be provided by the Punchbowl
Can you provide a cake?
Unfortunately not, however we can recommend local companies that do.
Can we dress the room?
Yes, we don’t allow any kind of confetti. A cleaning fee of £200 will be added to bills when this is used.
Can you provide table cloths and seat covers?
Yes, with an additional charge.
Can you provide balloons etc?
No, but we can recommend local companies that do
Can we dress the room with balloons, banners etc?
Absolutely, speak to the events team who can advise on where and how this is possible, the only thing we don’t allow is confetti as it stains the tables and wooden flooring.
Do you allow live music?
We only allow live acoustic music, no drum kits or DJ’s. (to be discussed)
Is there a music system?
Yes, there is a music system which you can play a Spotify playlist through.
Is there accommodation available?
We have 11 hotel rooms available for your guests, there are other hotels nearby if extra rooms are required.
What time can the event finish?
Last orders 23:30 and music lowered 23:30. Event close 00:00
Do we get our own staff?
Yes, you will have your own dedicated team looking after you throughout the event.
Is there a room hire fee?
£250 (negotiable depending on event).
Is there on-site parking?
Yes
Can I hold my event any day of the week?
Unfortunately, we don’t hold any events on Sundays.
Who cleans the room after the event?
The Punchbowl take care of all the cleaning so you can get that well deserved lie in.
How and when do I pay?
To secure your date a deposit of £200 is required, balance to be paid on or prior to the day of event by BACS or cash, we don’t accept cheques.
